Darrell Keener's passion for violins began in 1970 after he attended his first bluegrass concert. This was inspiration to learn to play, and from there his love for the violin evolved into a passion for restoring the classic instrument. Darrell received training in violin restoration and repair from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, The Violin Institute at UNH and Learning Trade Secrets workshops. After years of following his passion, he founded Keener Violins in 1995.

Darrell partners his attention to detail and fine craftsmanship with his professional training to provide quality and affordable repairs to beginners and experienced players alike.
